Ten years ago we launched the Titan Desert with the aim to build a race with personality, open to all lovers of cycling, sport and sacrifice. Today we can say that beyond all, the race is about personal growth and individual challenge. It’s a race, a competition, but especially and for the majority, a challenge. The challenge of achieving what few have achieved in the world. To face the desert, the heat, the distance, under the worst imaginable conditions.
All the editions disputed have been a clear example of what is involved to face this race. Most of the participants have come back home with the feeling of having achieved something really big, something they will remember for the rest of their lives. They lived unforgettable moments, tough times and moments of emotion…that have been registered forever in their lives. The race attracts participants from all over the world and in this last edition the non-Spanish participation increased notably.
The spirit of the race is influenced by everyone’s effort, the great majority of those who came to finish, the ones that aimed to prove to themselves they could achieve something attainable to very few. They are the soul of a race that has the added bonus of counting on the presence of great cyclists such as Laurent Jalabert, Claudio Chiappuccci, Roberto Hera, Abraham Olano or Melcior Muari.
