Cuba: The country that welcome us
Cuba, naturally blessed
Blessed with a tropical climate constantly enhancing it, Cuba exhibits a captivating natural landscape. Its terrestrial and submarine scenarios compete in variety, beauty and quality, so that ecotourism and diving lovers may have high expectations for this destination in the New World. Considered by scholars the most important natural scenery of Caribbean islands in size, variety, levels of endemism and state of preservation, the Greater Antilles shows a sustainable tourism development and the conservation of natural values.
Its varied landscape, dozens of natural beaches, more than four thousand cays and islets, valleys, mountain ranges, parks and six Biosphere Reserves, speak in its favor. On the island, endemic species abound; some rarities have been also reported. Its diverse lush flora and admirable fauna, including unique specimens in the world, are some of the attributes that identify it. Hiking and walking tours of valleys, mountains and forests are attractive offers for outdoors holidays.
Cuba has places with exceptional conditions for ecotourism practice related to the environment: hiking, cycling, horseback riding, caving, wildlife observation, photo and cave-hunting. For travelers interested in these issues, appointments are various and unavoidable: Guanacahabibes, Viñales, Caguanes, Pico Cristal, Desembarco del Granma, Turquino and Alexander Von Humboldt National Parks, as well as Sierra del Rosario, Cuchillas del Toa, Guanahacabibes Peninsula, Baconao, Buenavista and Zapata Swamp Biosphere Reserves.
